Signs of Fall

The air is crisp and autumn winds are starting to blow. That can mean only one thing – it’s time to go on a fall leaf hunt! Use Project Learning Tree’s “Signs of Fall” and take students outside to observe nature’s leaf show! Learn why and how leaves change color as the temperature outside drops.

Young Child Extension
Use Project Learning Tree: Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood’s “Signs of Fall”. Take little kids on a leaf hunt on your school grounds or backyard and look for different colored leaves. Then read stories about autumn leaves and make leaf art!
